Neato Lab- I thought was very interesting. The electronics available to us as teachers are amazing and should be taken full advantage of. I thought that the time we spent on it during class could have been spent more efficiently by having not spent so much time at one electronic. I enjoyed working in groups to allow me to dicuss with other educators ideas on how they thought we could use the technology in a learning setting. This project did give me many ideas on how to use technology in the classroom.
Podcast- I think that the podcast was a great experience! This could be used in class and can be very educational. I would use podcasts all the time in my classroom to allow students to listen in many different ways such as reading a book or doing an activity at home with their parents. Podcasts can be used in many different ways. This activity allowed me to learn how to make a podcast and understand the usefulness they can have in a classroom.
Imovie- I loved making an IMovie. I have made them before! The video was a great idea and I loved practicing. I can see myself having the children act out recent books they have read. This is a great idea to have the children become interested in their work and also feel as if their work is being published! It was great to learn how to upload them to the wikispace.
Smartboard- I loved this activity and I can see myself using this in a classroom. The practicing using a smartboard will be very useful in the future. Many classrooms have smart boards now and the more educated we can be on them the better we will be at entertaining and educating our students. This activity allowed me sharpen my technology skills and now I will no longer be timid to use a smart board in a class. I am will to take on any smartboard task. It is a lot less complicated then it seems. It was a great experience!
